We will be making hearty, winter bean & kale soup.
Some of the soup will be frozen for a demo to be held at the Healdsburg Food Pantry. At the demo, clients will be able to taste the soup, then take some home with the recipe and ingredients.

What - Hearty Winter Soup

When - Wednesday, February 22nd, 9AM-3PM
Where - Relish Culinary Kitchen - 14 Matheson St - Healdsburg

What to Bring - apron, and a bit of lunch to share

Cost - $10.00 - Helps with cost of ingredients and soup containers

We will donate our product to the Healdsburg Food Pantry, Graton Labor Center, and Food For Thought Food Bank

Since the first of the year, we have gleaned over 4400 pounds of nutritious curly, green kale. Nathan and Jesse at First Light Farm have been so generous, and The Council on Aging and Redwood Empire Food Bank are thrilled to receive their second harvest. With prior knowledge of delivery, REFB has been able to hold cooking demos for their clients.

When we top the kale, the plant renews, filling in with new growth. This helps the farmer get to market with more profitable produce.
