When it comes to your health, every step counts. Walking is one of the easiest and most convenient ways to get exercise. Simply lace up a pair of comfortable shoes and head out the door.

For extra motivation, join the thousands of people who have participated in Dakota County’s Simple Steps walking program since 2007. It’s easy and it’s free. Enjoy time walking with family, friends and co-workers while boosting energy, reducing stress and improving your health.

And you can be eligible for prizes just by tracking the number of minutes walked. Receive tips and encouragement and find out about great places to walk in the county.

Register for Simple Steps online by June 15 or call 651-554-6100.

Celebrate Earth Day at Lebanon Hills Visitor Center in Eagan from noon to 3 p.m. on April 22. Simple Steps registrants can enter a drawing for T-shirts and other prizes.
