WORDS FROM MALCOLM WILSON OBE, M-SPORT MANAGING DIRECTOR

The team are back at Dovenby Hall after another action-packed WRC round in Jordan - 2011 has been an incredibly busy year so far and that looks set to continue as we continue to push for success in the FIA World Rally Championship.

Jari-Matti was so unlucky in Jordan, to have 0.2 seconds separating first and second place after two full days of competition is quite remarkable. The team were disappointed in coming so close to victory and the championship has now become antagonisingly close with Citroën and Ford jointly leading the Manufacturers' Championship with 130 points each. We're really hoping to push ahead of Citroën at the next round in Sardinia and hopefully the pre-event test for the drivers next week will help them to achieve this.

After the late arrival of the equipment to Jordan, the M-Sport team performed miracles in helping to set up the service park and ensuring we were ready to start the rally on time. Most of the team worked relentlessly throughout the night and I would like to take this opportunity to thank them for their hard work and the role they played in such an exciting rally.

After the transport delays in reaching Jordan, the team equipment will travel to Sardinia via a revised route. Transporters departed by road to Haifa in Israel on Sunday via the Jordan River border crossing and onto Ashdod. They left there by commercial ferry on Sunday evening and are due to arrive in Salerno, southern Italy this week. A new boat will then take the equipment to Cagliari in southern Sardinia, where it will remain for a week before completing the journey to Olbia by road. The cars are due to return to M-Sport's Dovenby Hall base by air mid-week to be prepared before departing for Sardinia.

I wish you all a very happy Easter and I look forward to updating you when we arrive back from Sardinia next month.

Kind regards,
Malcolm
