Anton Jerome Edwards was born in Walterboro, S.C. on January 24, 1986 and raised in Miami, Florida from 3 months old. At the age of 10, the New Providence Lodge 365 noticed his talent. He performed one of his favorite songs I Believe I Can Fly by R. Kelly at W.M.B.M (a gospel radio station) in Miami Beach, Florida. That same year, his talent was exemplified at the Miami Arena, singing the National Anthem to open a Miami Heat game. In September of 2002, AJ auditioned for Showtime at the Apollo, in which he was 1 of 10 chosen out of over 2000 people. He performed on Showtime at the Apollo in New York City, singing one of his original songs which the crowd enjoyed. Since then AJ has been on all of the local radio stations, acted in televised plays, and has been on BET’s 106 & Park (Wild Out Wednesdays) which he won as well, and will be returning on January 27, 2010. He has opened up for many major Artists and is known as “R&B In Miami.” AJ is writing and referencing for some of the biggest producers in Miami while pushing his own music. He is currently pursuing his career anxiously waiting on his big break! If you ask about R&B in Miami, his name will surely come up.
