Can you believe Summer is over? The days will be getting shorter, the air will be getting cooler and we'll continue capturing the beauty of the changing seasons and the couples who share their special days with us.

Thanks to everyone who gave us such great feedback on our first Issue last month. We hope you all did something extra special with your loved ones for Valentines Day. We've already got wind of a few proposals ;) Why not share your proposal story with us. We love to hear your stories and will be sure to have a feature in a coming Issue.

Bettina and Glen became great friends of ours after we spent the day with them for their wedding. On 5th November 2010, we had such a great time with Bettina and Glen along with their family and friends when they were married on Observatory Hill in Sydney and celebrated in the super fun atmosphere of the Bavarian Bier Café.

You can imagine our excitement when less than a year later they called with the wonderful news that they were expecting their first baby. We just had to be involved and arranged to take some gorgeous baby bump photos. A beautiful baby has now arrived and we wish Bettina and Glen all the very best with their new journey as parents. We can’t wait to take some fun baby or toddler pics ;)

We always have so much fun during photo shoots. Weddings are always the happiest of days but they can also be stressful, rushed days and that just doesn’t happen during a photo shoot. You can spend the time thinking about different poses, making each other laugh and capturing real emotions to remember forever.

Whether you want more photos or not, your engagement and wedding are just the beginning of a beautiful story, and we love hearing them all.

If you'd love to capture some of your own beautiful memories, wedding related or not, see our "March Maddness" offer below!

Wedding of the Month

Melissa Beecham and Jeffrey Hudson were married on 18th February in the historic City of Bathurst. It was our first wedding in Bathurst and we were in love with the beautiful old buildings, gorgeous parklands and amazing grasslands up for offer.

After a roaring escort of around a dozen motorbikes, the happy couple were married in St Barnabas Anglican Church with their closest family and friends to bear witness.

Melissa and Jeffrey were such a laid back and relaxed couple and it was a pleasure to work with them on their special day. Even though we had a timetable to work to, the whole day seemed to move at a much slower pace than a typical Sydney wedding and we were left with extra time to play with everywhere we went.

The couple's 2 kids were just gorgeous and so great to work with! We always love capturing families at specials times during their lives and it was so special that so many got to enjoy this memorable day.

After some gorgeous photos of the couple and the bridal party in Machatti Park, everyone partied the night away at The Carrington.

We left Bathurst knowing that we will return to the beautiful City and we can’t wait for our next Bathurst wedding booking!!

Visit our facebook page to see more of Melissa and Jeffrey’s wedding day. We are also constantly updating our website galleries so be sure to check back to see more of this and many other weddings we have had the pleasure to be a part of.

Small Bridal Party vs Large Bridal Party

Ali & Tanya (464 of 787)

Choosing your bridal party should be a fun task and there are a number of factors you need to keep in mind.
1. Depending on who you pick, having a large bridal party (3-5 Bridesmaids & 3-5 Groomsmen) means that you will have more people to help you or more people that you need to help and look after!
2. If you are planning for a small bridal party (2-4 people in total) make sure you pick people who are fun, extroverts and not shy of the cameras. Part of bridal party’s responsibility is to have fun with the couple and for that you need the right people.
3. During the preparations, make sure you have a spare room where everyone can put their personal belongings. The more people you have involved; the more bags, shoes, clothes and other personal items you will have in the room and we don’t want that to be seen in your photos.
4. A large bridal party looks great in photos and film. At the same time, it takes much longer to set up those beautiful shots. Make sure you allow extra time.
5. It’s best that the guys & girls in the bridal party know each other before the wedding day. It can get awkward if they’re meeting for the first time and the photographer asks them to stand close to each other or hold hands, etc.
6. A small bridal party can always jump in a limo and get to the next location very quickly. On the other hand, if you’re thinking of having more than one car load of friends and family, you should allow extra time for getting in and out of the cars and having cars meet again at each location. Our advice for larger parties is to choose one location for the photo shoot and stay there.
7. Finally, our best advice is to prepare your bridal party for what you expect from them. Have a list of things that you think are important for you. Make sure you chat with them or even give everyone a copy of that list. That way, you’ll know that everyone knows what you want.

At the end of the day, it’s all about having fun and you want to make sure you have the right people in your bridal party. Before choosing, ask yourself; Is this a person who will bring laughter and fun into my wedding day?
