WORDS FROM MALCOLM WILSON OBE, M-SPORT MANAGING DIRECTOR

The team are just back from the third round of this year's FIA World Rally Championship - Rally de Portugal - and now it's full steam ahead to Jordan Rally in two weeks time. The cars arrived back to the workshop this week and then it's a very sharp turn around before they get shipped off to Jordan.

There is no doubt that Portugal was a very tough rally - we had some technical problems that we need to look into further but the car was very competitive. It was the first European gravel event of the year and the drivers gave some very positive feedback on the car's performance. We also retained our lead in the FIA WRC Manufacturers' Championship and we hope to extend it further over the next couple of events.

Portugal also marked the debut of the brand new feeder series to the WRC, the FIA WRC Academy. We were very proud to have an ex M-Sport employee, Craig Breen, running at the top of the field for the majority of the rally. Congratulations to Egon Kaur who took the Academy win and well done to Australia's Molly Taylor, who also works with us at M-Sport. Many of these drivers have a very bright future ahead and I am sure some of the talented youngsters will progress to WRC level in the future.

We are also delighted to announce that our new generation rally car - the Ford Fiesta S2000 - has been enjoying success over the past week. At the first round of the South African Rally Championship, Conrad Rautenbach took victory in his Fiesta S2000. Also, at the first round of the German Rally Championsip, Felix Herbold stormed to victory in his Fiesta S2000 - by a remarkable two minutes and four seconds.

We hope you enjoy this newsletter and if you have any enquiries about any of our products of services, please do not hesitate to get in touch.

Kind regards,
Malcolm
